Jungle Scout — Frontend (React) Engineer

Served as the sole front-end engineer on Downstream — Jungle Scout's acquired Ad Tech subsidiary — independently owning the entire React codebase for over a year.
Introduced and built out Storybook from the ground up, delivering 100+ reusable components that were progressively adopted beyond the Ad Tech team and became a front-end foundation across Jungle Scout.
Mentored and onboarded the team's second front-end engineer, establishing component standards and documentation that enabled a smooth knowledge transfer before departing.

Wonder — Full Stack TypeScript Engineer

Joined at the founding stage of a Chrome extension that used intelligent deep-crawling to surface page-level summaries across Google search results — dramatically cutting research time for its primary users: journalists and academics.
As one of 4 engineers on a near-greenfield codebase, built a broad range of features across the full TypeScript stack — from the React frontend to the Node.js microservice mesh (one service in Python) that powered the crawler.
Introduced Storybook for component documentation and delivered the product's dark theme, improving both developer experience and UI polish.

Built and maintained a fleet of 7 domain-specific microservices (ad search, finances, user management, and more) powering ad delivery across Americanas, Submarino, and Shoptime — three of the largest e-commerce brands in Latin America.
Engineered a system capable of sustaining peaks of 1,200 ads delivered per second during Black Friday, with auto-scaling infrastructure that dynamically adjusted capacity based on traffic and season.
Led the infrastructure migration from Marathon/Mesos to Kubernetes, improving reliability and scalability of the ad platform.
The team's architectural patterns and operational practices were adopted broadly across B2W, one of the largest e-commerce groups in Latin America, as a reference model.
Shared full DevOps ownership — every engineer was responsible for the infrastructure, operating as a self-managed Scrum team.

Implemented advanced SEO with JSON-LD structured data (Google-recommended format) to maximise organic search placement for professional profiles.
Built with accessibility as a first-class concern, ensuring screen-reader compatibility for users with visual impairments.

Acted as senior engineering architect — designed the architecture of most systems and coordinated the developers responsible for implementing them, while also serving as the technical liaison between engineering and directors/managers.
Took ownership of R&D projects to design and implement new identity solutions for the federal government.
Identified the gap in front-end expertise, assembled and trained the company's first dedicated front-end team from scratch — coaching developers in JavaScript, Angular, Sass, jQuery, and CSS animations. The team adopted Scrum, and measurable UX and support satisfaction improvements followed.

Major Accomplishments

Developed the first Brazilian government document production line in the cloud — an Angular SPA consuming a microservices backend.
Solely designed and developed eCNH — Brazil's first Android app for digital civilian identification and driver's license — entirely alone, from scratch through to national launch. Now used by over 40 million Brazilians (≈44% of all licensed drivers in the country).
Designed the QR Code security element now embedded in every Brazilian digital driver's license, used nationwide as the document's primary tamper-resistant authentication feature.
